Riding Lessons

Horse riding lessons are the safest and surest way to learn not only to ride but also to care for horses. Beginning at age 5, The Hitchin Post offers riding lessons for children and adults. Beginners and Intermediate riders are welcome! We offer lessons in a number of disciplines including western, english, halter, pleasure, horsemanship, equitation, huntseat, trail riding, and timed events (including barrel racing.) Lessons start at $30 per one hour session. A package of lessons can be purchased as well. Our indoor and outdoor arenas allow extended training in the named disciplines. Our trainers/instructors have over 20 years combined experience. Fitting and training for shows is also available. Helmets are required for all riders 18 & under, and are available for purchase at The Hitchin Post. Boots with at least a one-inch heel are required.
