About The Hitchin' Post

The Hitchin' Post, LLC (THP) is a sixth-generation family farm. The farm became a limited liability company in 2005. We are made up of the following family members: Raymond & Loretta Reid, and Ramona Reid Harris & Zack. Farming is bred in us, having experience in commodities such as produce/truck farming, hay, cattle, hogs, chickens, and horses. We love the land and the reward it yields.
Located in the North Jefferson County area of Kimberly, Alabama, The Hitchin' Post is situated in the heart of "Blue Devil Country." Mortimer Jordan High School is located 1.5 miles to the east...North Jefferson Middle School is located 1.5 miles to the west. Also located nearby are the new housing subdivisions of Saddlebrook Farms, Franklin Parc, and Doss Ferry.
The most recent venture, horse boarding and lessons, has become second nature. We pride ourselves in a professional, yet family-friendly atmosphere. All breeds and disciplines are welcome! Bring your family for quality time around the farm. There is something here for everyone!
